Job Title: Client Advisor – Personal Lines
Department: Personal Lines Insurance
Reports To: Personal Lines Manager
General Description: Proactively review accounts and reach out to clients to advise them on what coverages and policies will best protect them.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review accounts and consult with clients 45 days prior to renewal
- Meet goals set by management
- Complete reactive service renewal requests in a timely manner
- Review and remarket accounts with large premium increases
- Review book of business for potential remarketing as determined by management
- Reach out to clients who have not had recent agency contact
- Handle all Surplus Lines renewals
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Client Advisor is expected to have and maintain his/her broker’s license, pursue certifications and professional designations in accordance with his/her role, and attend seminars to keep abreast of industry changes.
SKILLS:
Excellent communication skills are essential for a Client Advisor as this position requires communicating with clients and carriers. Attention to detail, determination to complete a task and ability to prioritize workload is essential. Individuals must be able to manage their own workload and balance competing demands. Client Advisor must have an extensive knowledge of our current carriers and excel in the use of PLRater and other rating software.
Accurate and consistent documentation skills are a must, and it is imperative that workflows are followed. Educating clients on coverages and gaps in their policies is of utmost importance. This position requires that the team member become well versed in our common and specialized markets to better serve our clients. Rating and remarketing accounts that meet the remarket criteria set by management must be done thoroughly and efficiently.
EXPERIENCE:
This is a senior level position and requires a college degree, or high school diploma with at least 3-5 years of experience in the insurance industry. All candidates must have their P&C license to be considered for this position.

- Take incoming quote inquiries from a variety of sources.
- Quote new business with preferred carriers when able.
- Maintain accurate and complete intake information in the agency management system (Epic).
- Follow onboarding process and hand-off to servicing staff.
- Meet management expectations for timely servicing standards.
- Meet sales goals as established by management.
- Provide expertise and guidance for new customers on recommended coverages.
- Recommend additional policies when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager

General Description: The Assistant Account Manager will support the account management team, primarily by handling repetitive, reactive tasks.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Answer incoming calls. Greet walk-ins.
- Answer client billing questions and process client payments
- Review and process daily mail
- Check the status of cancellations, reinstatements, and claims. Update the agency management system accordingly.
- Issue binders, evidences, certificates, and auto ID cards.
- Ensure policies have been received per the agency’s request and renewed in the system according to department guidelines.
- Review and update the agency management system as needed.
- Processing duties include: change requests, cancellation requests, LPRs and Close Out Letters.
- Submit glass claims to carriers.
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and send to insured when applicable.
- Participate in seminars, classes, and community events.
- Provide back-up for Account Managers as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma. Assistant Account Managers are expected to obtain and maintain their broker’s license, pursue certifications and professional designations in accordance with their role, and attend seminars to keep abreast of industry changes.

- Maintain Postage levels.
- Weigh and stamp mail and bring it to the Post Office.
- Maintain Agent license renewal calendar, complete online license renewal applications, and Agent Educational credits report.
- Respond to and complete agent appointment updates requested by insurance companies.
- Maintain/Order Office and Kitchen supplies.
- Participate in seminars and classes as required.

EDUCATION:

Objective: Provide advanced sales and customer service support for the department manager and producers by obtaining, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial lines client accounts.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review daily mail and coordinate processing with Customer Service Representatives.
- Answer and fulfill telephone requests for your assigned client accounts.
- Enter all required data into computer system to maintain file data as current as possible on each assigned account or file.
- Assist other Account Managers as needed.
- Rate and quote renewal commercial lines risks.
- Rate and quote new business commercial lines risks.
- Remarket accounts at review when necessary.
- Review, process, place or assist in placing commercial lines applications.
- Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the agency companies.
- Prepare endorsement requests on commercial lines insureds as required, update system info.
- Prepare policies, endorsements, binders, certificates as required, update system info.
- Rate and compute endorsement requests or other return premiums when required.
- Review company policies and endorsements for accuracy as required.
- Process Premium finance contracts as needed.
- Keep up to date on the rating system, forms and coverage.
- Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development and expansion.
- Enter and monitor all required data in computer system to maintain integrity of account information.
- Perform other duties as required.
